The Gardens of Stone conservation area behind the Zig Zag railway has plenty of options for Jeepers of all levels, beginners to advanced, stock Jeeps and modified.
There's Lost City to visit, wombat holes to play in, power lines trail, Ranger Bob trail, Moon Rock, Ben's track, Julian's playpen and more. There are some track closures but we should have enough options available to keep it interesting.
The main trail to Lost City has been graded for 2wd vehicles, but the lesser used west trail is still challenging in places and worth a visit.
We will work out the actual trails on the day depending on the number of Jeeps and your appetite for adventure.
Grade: C
Expect ruts and rock steps, lots of low range, but the trickier sections usually have an easier option.
Where:
Meet at the Zig Zag Railway carpark to air down at 8.30am. We will aim to finish by around 4pm.
Bring:
Food, radio, camera, sunscreen. There are no toilets on the trail so be prepared.
