Where We Are Going: Hillbilly Cider

Details: Let’s get togeather for Christmas in July at Hillbilly Cider for pizza lunch and cider and for the ones that want to go for a drive we will go down Patersons range trail to Burralow creek campground and out Burralow fire trail

What to expect: Loads of FUN!! This trip is suitable for absolute beginners and the optional tracks are challenging enough even for the seasoned offroader.

Newbies are welcome. Myself and other experienced members on the trip will be more than happy to help you understand your vehicle, it's capabilities and how to tackle various obstacles and trails.

Suitable Rigs: Stock Wranglers and Cherokees can breeze through the trail. However, to tackle the optional obstacles and challenges, I recommend All-Terrain tyres and preferably some lift.

Risk: As with any off-road trips, there is a risk of pinstripes, battle scars or even serious damage to the vehicle / people involved.

What to bring: At least half tank of fuel (nearest gas station is 4.2km further west along Bells Line of Road ), Deflators, Air compressor, CB Radio, Recovery gear, Drinks, Lunch, Cameras and a bright smile.

Details: This is a trip for the ladies to have a turn to drive and anyone that’s new to the club or is thinking about joining the club to come and explore the tracks around Zig Zag it will be a fun day for

This is the official notice of the Sydney Jeep Club 2026 AGM, to be held on Wednesday 5 August 2026 at Dooleys Regents Park Pavilion following the August general meeting.

Please let the Secretary know if you are interested in nominating yourself or others by emailing the Club Secretary at Secretary@sydneyjeep.club.

You can also self nominate at the meeting or nominate someone else. Please ensure you have spoken to the other candidate and have their approval before nominating them.

Sydney Jeep Club Committee Positions

President

Presides over and runs all general meetings of the club
Ensures the club abides by the club constitution
Sets the direction for the club
Ensure the club acts in a responsible manner in not only the 4wding community but the broader community
Looks at the year ahead as a whole and set some clear goals on what should be achieved in that year, get support from the committee and club and ensure a plan is in place to achieve those objectives (including fund-raising activities, community donations and participation, etc).
Will have knowledge of all activities of the club and its members (where possible acknowledging illness, births, accidents, etc).

Vice-President

Perform the duties of the President during his/her absence or at his/her request
Assists the president wherever possible or other committee members
Supports all committee members, assisting publicity/membership officer in particular seeking out support for the club (raffle donations, support for club run events, etc)
Assists with running of large club activities

Secretary

Keeps records of all the proceedings of all ordinary general meetings, annual general meetings and special general meetings of the club and of all meetings of the committee
Is responsible for all correspondence in connection with the club.
Opens all correspondence
Manages all out going correspondence

Treasurer

Pays all monies due
Records in books of account the receipt and expenditure of all monies connected with the club.
Presents a yearly financial statement.
Reimburses club members on presentation of receipt for any items purchased for the club (eg: raffle prizes).

Trip coordinator

Responsible for a yearly trip program for the club.
Instructs and educates trip leaders of their responsibilities (eg: convoy procedures, communications, etc).
Regularly checks 4wd websites (including National Parks, etc) to ensure club members are updated with track conditions, track closures, track conditions of entry etc.
Ensures the club doesn't go anywhere it shouldn't.
Understands the tread lightly policy and ensure that club members are aware of our responsibility in the community and promoting responsible 4wding.
Helps trip leaders plan trips

Membership Officer

Responsible for membership of the club.
Looks at ways to maintain current members and welcoming new members to the club.
Maintains the membership records for the club
Sends out welcome packs

Webmaster

Responsible for the maintenance of the club website
Reviews significant changes or amendments of content, style or layout with the committee.
Works with the committee to ensure the website reflects well of the club in the broader community, promoting responsible 4wd and reflects the needs of the members.

Social Media

Responsible for the maintenance of the clubs social media presence
Reviews significant changes or amendments of content, style or layout with the committee.
Seeks input from the entire club to participate in the social media presence

Association Delegate

Attends association meetings.
Reports minutes of the club general meetings.
Club liaison officer at the association meetings.

General Committee

Assist with special projects and duties as required

Fraser Island (K'Gari) Jeep Beach Camping (30 Aug 2026)

POSTPONED - Touring Trip to Fraser Island (K'Gari).

Date change due to bad weather forcast

This trip will be postponed to the week Sun 30 August to Sat 5 September. Back in time for the 4x4 show!

Trip is still open for gereral registration and its going to be a grand affair to bring in Spring 2026.

If you want to experience a great location, bring a tent, an RTT, a caravan or camper trailer, or stay fully accomodated; we will be “Base Camping” at Cathedrals on Fraser.

The Trip is "self booked" and all of the necessary links are below.

Each day will not be arranged ahead of schedule to allow for some individual freedom to explore or chill.

Day 1 - Sunday 30 August (Fri/Sat travel) - Meet at Inskip point and catch the Ferry over to K'gari

Day 7 Saturday5th September (Sat/Sun travel) return to Sydney from Inskip Point

Should you be unsure of whether you will be attending then please do "opt out" soon so we don't look for you on the day.

A whatsApp group has been setup and registrants will be added as confirmed.

The Island books up quickly so do not wait too long.

We will also be aiming to beach camp on the West Side for a night or two and this will require an additional booking if you want to join in, based on campsite availability.

Jeep Jamboree 2026

Set to take place from 2 October to 5 October 2026 - The Australian Jeep Jamboree is a national Jeep event that started in 1990 is traditionally held every 2 years.

This year the Jamboree will be hosted by the Jeep Club of NSW inc.

Jeep Jamborees are a family friendly event and great way of meeting like minded Jeep enthusiasts.

Ticket prices include campsite hire costs, Jambo goodie bag, daily guided trips of various grades (easy, moderate, hard and extreme), live entertainment on Saturday and Sunday nights PLUS buffet style dinner on Sunday night.
